Real vs Fake SeamossReal seamoss such as Chondrus crispus absorbs its rich minerals directly from the ocean & rocks as it is attached to rocks in nutrient-dense coastal waters. The rocky attachment is crucial for the sea moss to thrive and access the nutrients it needs for growth.Real seamoss has a natural sea taste and smell and doesn’t contain extra salt. (Maybe picture of my seamoss) Fake seamoss is grown on man made lines & nets in shallow sea waters to help mimic the tidal waves of the ocean. Even though grown in sea waters, it is not grown on the rocks making its mineral count very low. This seamoss looks very stringy, doubles in size when rehydrated, has a chemical smell and is extra salty from added salt. Real seamoss doesn’t do or contain any of this.
